I have no idea what i'm doing, can i still rent the sauna?
Yes! We will make sure you are comfortable operating the sauna stove before we leave. Safety is key! Sauna is meant to be shared, there are no silly questions, so ask away as we walk you through the process of sauna rounds at drop-off. Here are some things to keep in mind:
-
Wear comfortable athletic wear or a swimsuit, always sit on a towel and keep a water bottle nearby.
-
Listen to your body. There are no awards for who stays in the hot room the longest. If you are feeling too hot or notice your heart rate climbing, leave the sauna and cool down. We recommend using the sauna in cycles: 10-15 minutes of hot, followed by a cool-down before starting another sauna round. A traditional sauna session is about 3 rounds of hot/cold cycles.
-
Stay hydrated. Hydrate with plenty of water both before, during and after your session. Pro tip: add salt to your water for ultimate hydration.
